It's because I have so much fun with creating illusions that I work so well with realistic art. The little bits of detail plus what I can do with light are what make this not just any old house, but a special place...even if it is only in my imagination.
The lakeshore scene came from one of my many photos of the Boundary Waters, and for an extra touch, I added a painting that I actually got the idea for on my trip to Ireland, in 2002.
