I've been in a lot of remote cabins, both in Colorado and in Michigan and the Great Lakes areas, and the best thing about them is when they really are remote.
No cell phones, no wireless, and nothing to do but relish the solitude. The only way in is frequently a road like this one.
The way I can create realistic art with egg tempera, I can even capture the sense of fabric in the drapes, which you can actually see through in the shaded area.
