Teton Light
The wonderful thing about realistic art is it's ability to capture very personal things or places. This painting of the Grand Tetons is a fine example of this process. It's taken from a photo I took when I was doing an art show in Jackson Hole. The mountains in this realistic painting are a portrait of the Teton Range, of course, but the foreground that invites you into the piece is an imaginary creation, a composite of about 6 or 7 separate photos designed to capture light and invite the viewer to participate
